Making Cloud!

i am a complete newbie at 3DS Max!



but

for my first class assignment i will be doing Cloud from FF7 (the very crappy model!)

this is his low-polygon version straight from the PS1 game







this is my work in progress (laugh if you want to! it's hilarious)

not sure if i can do the entire body for day 4.
it would look very squarey, people might think it's badly done, but that's how the model is. the hands are seriously BLOCKS.

i also have no idea how to shape his head. right now it's just a big perfectly round sphere a la kirby, but maybe i'll learn how to do it some other day.

Don't you have PrintScreen? Or copy and paste? XD

good question, this is done in a class at my college. i'm too lazy to log on there and send an email to myself with the pictures.

the phone's camera is not that bad is it?

Did anyone recognize who it even was?

i doubt the ones in that class have ventured into such old RPGs (even if its hella popular), but it's safe to say if anyone has played the game they might have recognized it with a passing glance. honestly i don't think the professor recognized it. we turned in our work, we didn't present it so who knows if someone recognized it.

the professor does pick out some of the good ones and shows it to future classes at the beginning of the class, maybe someone in the future will be like "oh cool cloud"

updated with final day 4. as you can see nothing much changed from day 3->day4 except the eyes a tad bit.

maybe i'll come back to it some day when i learn a little bit more. i think i did decent for someone who hasn't touched 3DSMax before

I get high anxiety when it comes to that. =/

i am nerd (or the fact im playing FF7 on PSP right now) i recognize where the in-game screen shot came from (like which disc, and which part exactly )
