i don't get it. i mean, are they supposed to be scary? i don't claim to be all manly and resistant to scary stuff and shit, i mean i even cry during movies cause i'm the suck but these aren't scary at all, especially the ones that look like a black grinning little kid's face . the eeriest one is the doll/little girl one.

That's the point. There's nothing in the red circle - it's misdirection. The face was what you were supposed to be looking for.

It's hardly the same as the meme was originally intended. They're not supposed to be so obviously blatant-and-right-in-front-of-you.

It's supposed to be subtle, subliminal. And they don't HAVE to be "scary." Like this one:

I was actually looking at the actual pictures of these before they were turned into brick shit, and as there was a lot of vandalism, I bet the face was graffitied.

I thought it was just a friend of the photographers. I remember reading that a troupe of people came through there with the photographer.

It was a mental institute from the 1800s, if I recall correctly. And they had to go through this freaky crawl-space, too... about 1m wide and 60cm high. *shiver*
