Any video game of a movie/tv series ('Cept for the Family guy game, that was actually sticking to the plot (of no plot)).

    Tekken 4. Terrible disappointment.
All of the Harry Potter games. I think some came with our PS2. We got it second hand.

I could'a told you that ahead of time.

Suikoden III. The game got so much praise - I think it's trite, pretentious bullshit.

There haven't really been many games I hate.
I can't even think of any right now.
But Sonic Chronicles comes to mind.

Tekkan is the only game series that comes to mind when it comes to hating games.
I dont really hate regulat platform games that i buy that much because i know what type of games i like and hate.
Tekkan though is the only game i ever, EVER bought and hated. The fighting series to me was a terrible dissapointement. I thought it looked good, another fighting games like mortal kombat, street fighter, soul calibure, BUT that turned out terrible.

the game didn't get jack from reviewers or critics, it was mostly me and i think Rag that love it. it's ironic that you call this pretentious but love Final Fantasy Tactics.

aww they're not so bad. have you played with friends? it's pretty fun.
the only thing i have to complain about is the singing. the microphone is the only instrument i've ever used and the only instrument i will ever use and i've realized how flawed the vocal system is. in the easier difficulties you can get 100% in songs by simply going "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and adjusting your pitch. the game pays no attention to getting the lyrics right, but maybe that's for the future.

"Critical response to Suikoden III was in general quite positive. GameSpot said that it "had the makings of a classic" and that "the plot is more mature than that of the average 'bad guy threatens to destroy the world' RPG"; its only criticism was that "apart from the striking theme accompanying the opening movie, the music is largely unremarkable."[2] IGN's reviewer said that the game was "as close to perfection as I could have hoped. An easy recommendation to any and all RPG fans regardless of their dedication."[3] The game won both GameSpot and IGN's RPG of the Year for 2002.[4][5] In 2007, IGN awarded Suikoden III the 24th spot on their Top 25 PS2 Games of All Time retrospective list."

And what's pretentious about FFT? For a jRPG it has one of the most original, developed plots.

If it's pretentious cause it's middle age dialogue, then everything now will be pretentious in another couple of centuries.

Mustadio, Delita & Teta, Rafa & Malak (not royalty by blood), Algus, Olan, early-Wiegraf and his sister, and Ramza loses his status as royalty when he is branded a heretic. The same goes for Alma.

If royalty = pretentious, then the Queen of England is a rotten, pretentious whore. You know better than to argue FFT with me, Wayne.

    Or maybe you don't.

As for the music, I'm sorry there's nothing upbeat to lift your spirits while playing a game about conspiracy and betrayal. But the soundtrack fits the theme of the game; it's supposed to be melancholy and overbearing. If you think it's "pompous," maybe you need to look up what the word means.

"everyone and their mother" is an (not so obvious it seems?) exaggeration made to sound funny. i thought you would get the idea that what i actually mean is there is a lot of royalty present in the game, but i guess not since you actually went ahead and listed the non-royalty (even included Ramza, lmao, and he will always be a Beoulve, yet his dialogue doesn't reek of arrogance)

about the queen of england, i would not know anything about that, i don't know her. : P

the music (for me) definitely does have a strong pompous tone, many of the tunes sounds like something you'd hear in a royal parade or something:
