    Post by Upahs_Keywork Tue Feb 03, 2009 1:15 am

So I love this movie SO much. It's such a great movie. It is the ONLY movie I can watch over and over again.
The whole setting is so nice, but scary.
I LOVE the still pictures in the movie.
Has anyone else seen this movie?
    Any thoughts?

This morning I watched it twice in a row. -___-'
Once without commentary. Once with. =]
    I'm a loser.

Yeah. The second one was...not good. It completely lost all sense of horror that first one had and just became a "let's EXPLAIN what was meant to be unexplained" movie.

Blair Witch is not meant to be understood or known. It just ruins the myth of the first movie.

Agreed. I mean, it didn't make sense in the story at all actually.
I know SO MUCH about it. I've watched a lot about it and read up on a lot of stuff.
And it didn't really explain anything. And of course, because it was a terrible movie, they had to throw in an orgy scene.

Yes, as stated before, the first one is my favorite movie.
If you wanna be terrified of the woods, watch it. xD
But seriously, it's a REALLY scary movie.
But you either love it, or hate it.
If you hate open endings, then you'll hate this.
But I think it being an open ending made it so much better.

The best thing about it, and what I feel makes it scarier than most blockbuster hollywood horror films, is that you

    **SPOILERS**

Never even see the witch. You hear the screams in the distance, the kid goes missing near the end. But you never see HER, and that makes her much more terrifying. Your mind and imagination can conjure up much more scary things than any make-up/costume artist or CGI can do.

    **END SPOILERS**

That does make it really scary. I mean, if they showed her, then she wouldn't be scary at all. They would have ruined it. No one makes anything scary. Animation usually sucks. Heh heh.

These three kids go into the woods to make a documentary on the Blair Witch. A witch who 'kills children'. They go to tape two places, Coffin Rock, and a Graveyeard.
On their way back, they loose their map, and decide to follow their compass.
Each night weird stuff happens, and it gets worse every night.
I can't tell you much more or I'll ruin the plot.
I could tell you things that deal with her that's not in the movie. =3

    Why not? They are amazing.
Well... They CAN be. Most scary movies these days rely on jump scenes, and softcore porn to get good ratings.

I get you. I'm sorry, I don't care what any body says, I loved The Ring. That was a good movie. And no one liked it because it only had two 'scary' scenes. I've actually said this: "You have to pay attention to the movie to get it." And got this as a response[numerous times]: "I don't watch movies to pay attention."
What the fuck? Isn't that what you do with a movie? I'm constantly questioning EVERYTHING in a movie and show. Hell, I was just doing it with Tom And Jerry yesterday. Lol.

I hate The Ring. >_> And not because of some obscure reason. I just prefer the Japanese original better. And I love me some foreign horror movies.
