Re: The Blair Witch Project
I hate The Ring. >_> And not because of some obscure reason. I just prefer the Japanese original better. And I love me some foreign horror movies.[/quote]

Re: The Blair Witch Project
I watched Ringu with Joey, Alisha, and Yone. And we all didn't like it. But... That might have been because I wasn't paying attention to the movie.

The two things I've had people tell me are:
1) They didn't like the shaky camera perspective
2) It's just 3 people in the woods at night - who cares? (In other words, again, you don't SEE anything).
The first is a matter of taste, I guess. If you don't like that kind of immersion, then you don't like it. No amount of persuasion is going to change that.
The second, as I mentioned before, is just Hollywood brainwashing. People have become so ingrained with movies that MUST be bloody, violent, grotesque, and must have some kind of monster/serial killer to show its face. Moviegoers rely little on imagination and mostly on visual effects. Blair Witch has, virtually, NO special effects - at all.
Crystal, you should check out [REC]. I dunno if you download torrents or anything, but if you do look for one of that movie. It's a fucking amazing spanish horror film shot in the same way as Blair Witch (first-person camera). But it's so awesome, one of my favorites. Here's a summary of it:
"The film follows a Spanish late-night television reporter, Ángela Vidal, through the lens of her cameraman, Pablo. During one report of the happenings in a local fire station in Barcelona, the duo follow a team of firefighters who get a call from an apartment building nearby about a trapped woman. When they arrive, they find the apartment's residents huddled in the lobby. They go upstairs to find a woman who is obviously distressed. What follows is a night that none of them will ever forget."

Re: The Blair Witch Project
Wasn't that just recreated? I wanted to see that because it reminded me of The Blair Witch Project. I'll watch it with Drew on the PS3. =] [I can't watch scary movies by myself. =[ ]

It was remade, yes. "Quarantine." The original is superior.

Ive never had that happen before.
But i dont get to scared at movies anymore. Most of the time during horror movies ill be smiling through the whole thing, or possibly laughing at the insane gore. Either way.
And the grudge scared you? Well it did the first time i saw it a few years back. Especially with the girl who was jawless O.o that creeped me out. Anyways ive never seen this movie, and probably wont unless i watch it at this site i got.
