The Meeting

"No no. Leave him. He can carry our weapons." I hand him a bunch of ammo and such. I load him up so that he can't even see over the crap put in his hands. "Alright, lets go."

"Good thinking Sir"

I laugh and walk out the door. He's stumbling behind us and dropping shit.
"Don't lose ANYTHING or I'll have your head!!"

Alex falls down with all the rest of the stuff right after him.
I smile a little.

I go up to him and pick up the stuff I gave him. "Stop, now. Do not annoy me one more time. Or you'll be airlifted out of here..." I pause. "By a Reaver."

I just stand by and watch Alex's face fall.

I finish helping him up and we continue on.

"Sir sense Saunders seems to be off in his own little world. I still wish to continue my previous plan and take you back safely to base." I stare at Saunders and he is almost transperant like a ghost.

"I just think he's AFK right now." I laugh. And then get serious. Then laugh again.

I raise an eyebrow.
"Maybe so Sir. but either way I am proceeding with my original orders."
I head outside and stare into the distance a little.
"It would seem base is..."
I point at NE and I start heading that way. I look back at you with a sad look on my face.
"If you don't mind me asking Sir what was you SO's name?"

I look at you for a little bit, there is a pause.
"Yale."

You hear Alex chuckling under all the stuff. "Yale! What the hell kinda name is that...?"
I continue on forward without saying another word.

I go up to him and kick him in the back of the knee making him fall and drop everything.
I walk away.

Alex rubs his leg "Ow! You didn't have to kick me sweets. I was only just playing with you. Yale is a nice name..." He starts chuckling again but stops short and continues rubbing his leg.

I just keep walking. "Tell me, how do you plan on getting me back to base?"

"I have instinct Sir."

I laugh. "Alright. Lead the way."

"Do you doubt me?"

"No, no. Go ahead." I giggle.

"Good." I continue walking NE while listening Alex to huff and puff over his heavy load. He has a hard time speaking and lets out a haevy breathe after each word, "It's... too... quiet... So Tears how did you end up with the cogs...?"
I stop a moment in my tracks and walk even faster then before.
"That is irrelevent to the job at hand. Besides I am sure the rest do not wish for me to bore them with such details."

"Actually, I think it would be nice to hear someone else talking other than Alex."

"Aww come on I know you love it." Alex almost falls with laughter.
I sigh, *Can't say no to you sooo cute XD* "The truth is it was such a long time ago I don't really remember. But what I do remember is some man finding me and he recognized my abilities as an asset to war. Ever since then I have fought in many battles over the years and have been only been called upon on in the most dire circumstances. but when I am not fighting I am sent back to where they store me and I wait and listen to the sky."

I scratch my arm. "I wonder why I had never heard of you though."

"The fact that you haven't really heard of my existence is not at all surprising. I haven't really been out since that one war... before there was the creatures we call Locusts. But considering that the let me out this time means that they are afraid of losing this war."

What do you mean 'let you out'?
