It's like the writers are force feeding all of the subtext to you, destroying the whole MEANING of subtext. When Edge is promoted to captain of the Calnus, that whole conversation just had me facepalming the entire time.

I put the game on hold for a few days to play The Darkness.
And I'm so glad I did. Phenomenal voice acting, amazing writing, original story, and no whiny generic characters.
